things that please me part two

posted on May 25th, 2008.

So I purchased a new digital camera, finally. Camera connoseiurs probably will vomit at my choice, but oh well. My last digital camera was a Fujifilm, and although it was a piece of crap–it lasted about five years. So I decided to play it safe and upgrade. Plus–not having to buy a new memory card saved me thirty dollars. Behold, my new Fujifilm Finepix J10.

Yay

I took a few practice glamour shots (which I will not be posting) and the difference is quite noticeable. Going from 3.2 megapixels to 8.2 makes an enormous difference. And thus, I am pleased. End post.

If are happy with your camera, then that’s what counts.

although, and i know this sounds kinda left field - but if the option is there and you can choose ‘medium size images’ instead of large (or whatever the equivalent is on your camera setup) you should find you get less grainy images… (anything that reduces the camera to 6 megapixel or equivalent)
this should especially be true in low lighting conditions and when using higher ISO’s.
anyway, i have no experience with that camera specifically, but in general this is the case, can only try it and see i guess…
(6Megapixel is quite sufficient for letter (8.5″x11″) size prints with good definition.)

You’ve probably observed I am camera-phobic, but you take good pretty pictures of yourself so cheers! :D
