I’m going to move to Africa and work on a nature reservation.
This weekend was pretty great considering the amount of work-related stress sandwiching it from each side. I can’t quite remember it all, but Friday was all about bad food and a giant ice cream cone after work. Saturday morning involved a trip to the hair salon, wedding planning, a great dinner, lots of wine, and a dressed-up trip to the tattoo shop. I can think of nothing better then dressing like an American pop-tart, going out to dinner with freshly coloured and curled locks and then closing the tattoo shop.
I awoke late this morning (Sunday) which was strange. We took the dogs to Bruegger’s for Sunday coffee and bagels and planned a trip to the zoo. Our membership has already paid for itself, and what a perfect afternoon it was, too. Several thoughts came out of this weekend’s zoo trip. Just a few:
1) Baby koalas make me want to have babies
2) Screaming kids barking at the seals make me want to never have babies
3) Baby orangutans make me want to have babies
4) I want to drop everything and travel the world to work with animals
5) I want to start my own cupcake/baking/photography/whatever business
6) Darwin=love
7) I need a pet wallaby/lemur/giant tortoise
This coming week is going to test me. I need to rest up and put on my game face.
Hello. I'm Katelyn, a 25 year old wife, mother of twins, artist, and idea-factory. During the day, some might call me a "hit-the-ground-running" Administrative and Marketing Professional. In this space, I chronicle the nitty gritty details of balancing a full time career, new motherhood and all quirks of being a young wife in Ohio. I enjoy challenging the traditional views of a homemaker and my driving force is PASSION. If you enjoy random photos, digital media, moody quotes, or appreciate raw and witty sarcasm, you might want to stick around.
