F R E S H A I R

Apparently, we only have a few hours left of breezy 60-something-degree weather. Despite the clouds, I cannot express how refreshing it feels to have my windows open. Today marks the beginning of week 5 on bed rest (I’m calling it couch rest now, because that’s what it is.)

Time seems to be at a standstill. I have 30ish weeks of pregnancy under my belt and I am hoping for about 6 more. There are some days where I feel like I’ll never have these babies, and others where I’m convinced that something is about to go very wrong and I’m going to deliver super prematurely. I hate not being totally in control.

In other news, may I just state that I absolutely loathe door knockers (religious, political, other…). I know they have their jobs to do, but seriously…I don’t appreciate the panic attacks or the incessant dog barking that ensues. I’m one of those freaks that sees them coming and quickly locks the door and hides in the basement. Call me non-confrontational.

door knocker solicitor people are THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE. this new ‘hood it doesn’t happen so much (i think b/c we’re nextdoor to a school and there must be some kind of law maybe?) but holy man. just wait till the babies arrive and they knock DURING NAPTIME.

i highly suggest making a sign…it felt bitchy, but actually totally worked. i made it look kinda impromptu, so it gave the vibe of urgency. ha? something like “please don’t knock — baby napping!” i’d totally lie. those peeps don’t know if there’s a baby or not!
