Coffee please. Yes, I’ve had two cups. MORE coffee.

I dress my little girls like little boys. This is not by choice (although I do fancy little boy outfits). Preemie clothes are hard to find, and apparently Wal-Mart is a misogynist company.

Audrey and Paige

Last night, the alarm was supposed to be set for 2:30am. It never went off…and I woke to the sounds of fussy babies at 4:30am. EPIC fail for preemie parents…missing their feeding time by TWO hours…yeah. But they are living still, so it goes on. Today Kyle and I have to figure out how to get them to their first pediatrician appointment. We have the car, we have the car seats, and even the babies. What we don’t have just yet is the sanity. I just hope to god that they’ve gained and not lost since the NICU. My little heart is exploding with nervousness.

hannah was in preemie clothes for two months (she was born premature). not sure if you do or not, but we have consignment stores where we live and you can get an entire preemie outfit for like $1.75 at most of them. i still have a lot of hers, we also bought them at belks! belks always has great deals.

i hope they gain some weight! hannah was born weighing 5.1lbs and went to 4.14lbs and she gained it rather quickly. she’s now 20.2lbs and 17 months old :)

good luck at the peds office!

Jess – I followed your blog the whole way but didn’t recall that Hannah was a preemie! She is so big now, you give me hope!

Amy – Thank you for the words of support (and random twitter advice). I do fancy Harper-pants’ style. When you post pictures, I always feel like I’m looking at an old photograph. You know, like a polaroid of some cute, happily sweatered little baby. She’s stylin…gender neutrally!
