Hanging in there.
Every night, Kyle and I drive up to the hospital to visit the babies in the NICU. We like to make the 8:00 p.m. feed. This evening, we got there around 6:45 p.m. and by 7:30, were just about to call it quits. We were so tired…and thought since the girls have been slowing down (meaning, they get half of their meals through the NG tube) that maybe we’d just visit and let the nurses feed them.
But of course…we are total suckers. Once the girls were out of their isolettes, there was no way we were going to leave. I mean, really…how can you resist?
We are tired. A few more weeks of this routine…and then on to an even scarier one. I think it’s hard now, but realized today that when they get home I’ll be feeding TWO babies every three hours. Scary. This is all so scary!
I also had my 18 staples removed today. I’m glad to have them out, but now I’m positive my guts are going to fall out when I laugh, or walk, or do anything besides laying down.

Paige being a quiet happy angel.

Audrey also being a quiet angel.
Hello. I'm Katelyn, a 25 year old wife, mother of twins, artist, and idea-factory. During the day, some might call me a "hit-the-ground-running" Administrative and Marketing Professional.
