Double the Fun
Hey, guess what pleasure comes with being the owner of a shiny new pair of twins? Double the vaccinating, double the screams, and double the alligator tears!
Needless to say, I’m pretty thrilled about our pediatrician appointment tomorrow morning. BEST part (wait, there’s TWO best parts!)…my husband is a baby and won’t go suffer through baby poking, and I have to fast until I get my own blood drawn, all in the same day. There should be a whole lot of fuss fuss going on tomorrow morning.
But once the torture is over, I look forward to the squishing, cuddling, and weekend festivities that should follow. Maybe, just maybe, with the help of some extra family members in town, I can manage to eat more than slimfast shakes and peanut butter sandwiches for the next two days.
Speaking of family members, my mother has been pretty stellar lately. I mean, she’s always been superwoman. But this lady is a total lifesaver. She’s helping my slow (or is it?) transition back to work much easier, and does a great job keeping the girlies clean and happy as I desire. I hope to post new pictures of the little chubs this weekend.
Hello. I'm Katelyn, a 25 year old wife, mother of twins, artist, and idea-factory. During the day, some might call me a "hit-the-ground-running" Administrative and Marketing Professional. In this space, I chronicle the nitty gritty details of balancing a full time career, new motherhood and all quirks of being a young wife in Ohio. I enjoy challenging the traditional views of a homemaker and my driving force is PASSION. good luck!!
i think (hope) you’ll be surprised to find how fast the nurses are with baby shots. there’s usually a couple of them per baby and they do them 123 quick. harps would scream for like 30 seconds and then be fine… (it’s a LOT harder now that she understands what the hell is happening.)
the first time she got her shots (8 weeks, same as yer ladies), clay was standing there looking at his blackberry. i was so annoyed, and our male pediatrician thought it was hilarious. “that’s awesome” he kept saying. boys.
